This page will answer three simple but fundamental questions WHO, WHAT, and WHY?!

Who am I?! Hi my name is AL, I am an multidisciplinary artist that likes to work with a wide range of mediums, including but not limited to film, photography, digital art, painting, building, and more.

I love to explore and understand human experiences through my art, always searching for something new and meaningful to express. I love pushing the boundaries and trying out unconventional techniques to bring my imaginative ideas to life.

What is this? In this Substack, I will attempt to share the experiences I encounter during my artistic journey.

Google defines “artist” as - a person who practices any of the various creative arts, such as a sculptor, novelist, poet, or filmmaker but I whole heatedly disagree. Art and creativity is not limited to painting, sculpting, or photography. Cooking, coding, teaching, driving, serving, etc can all be art/creative as well. Being an artist doesn't require a paintbrush or camera - it can be found in every aspect of life. Embracing this idea is crucial.

I truly believe everyone has the potential to be an artist, regardless of their profession. Our inherent human nature makes us artists, and embracing an artistic perspective in both work and life can lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying existence.

Amidst the fast-paced world we live in, it's crucial to take a moment to pause and reflect. I strive to create and leave behind meaningful materials, and this substack serves as a record of my journey. I aim to showcase an authentic representation of my journey, including the ups and downs, rather than just the polished highlights often portrayed on social media. I believe this will provide a better understanding of the process and that true success takes time and effort, requiring enjoyment and trust in the journey.

I'd love for you to join me on this journey. If you're interested in supporting me and getting early access to materials, please consider becoming a patron on PATREON.
